It may have escaped your notice but there's a general election campaign underway at the moment. At such times political candidates keep their heads down while reminding us all politely that they're really positive people who want to do their best for their country.
In return, we, the public, respect their opinions and encourage each other to vote for our preferred future in a polite manner over tiffin.
Yeah, right. We all know what a bunfight it can be! I have to draw a parallel with the insurance market at this point.
Like our parliament, your insurance contract is for a fixed term, usually twelve months. Like an election, you can exercise your democratic right to review your insurance commitment only imperfectly, at anniversary. Just like campaigning, insurers parade their wares, each telling you that they are the best for your business needs. You'll see them sponsoring stadiums, football teams, rugby league referees, doing everything to get their names in your face.
Sifting through the promises
Unlike an election, rather than just the unwanted letterbox drops suggesting you vote for a particular candidate, you have the choice of using a professional adviser when choosing insurers. A good insurance broker will recommend a solution for you after working with you to identify the risks most likely to affect your business and will match your company with Insurers who can stand by their promises and deliver risk protection for you. We sift through the campaign promises to identify the commitments and appetites of the insurance market candidates and select the best match.
To find someone with the right (ahem) policies to suit your business outlook, talk to a broker.

Like many of our business insurance clients we're a majority NZ owned company that was started by enterprising Kiwis in 1950. Today, New Zealand is a different place to when we first started. As a consequence, the way we respond to your business and personal protection needs has evolved and matured.
While our core business is still related to creating the best insurance solutions for you, our motivation and passion now lie in being unconditional advocates for our diverse range of clients. In other words people like you.Close
