School holidays have just started and I'm looking out my window at the rain coming down. There's probably a few parents wondering how to amuse their young ones on days like this!
I'm at the other end of the scale with my girls all (hopefully) busy studying for end of year exams.
Life does change before our eyes. We still worry about what they're up to, if they're having enough sleep and eating properly, but have less control (is that the right word?) over their lives.
My middle daughter lives in Wellington and the recent ground movements brought to mind potential damage to her possessions. She's been in Wellington 3 years and has accumulated more "stuff" than the car load we delivered her down there with. Might be time to think about what she owns and consider how this needs to be insured.
Kids are still at risk when they leave home. Anyone flatting as a minimum needs to have some form of Liability cover in case they burn down their flat or overflow the bath. Sometimes parent’s policies cover children away from home - have you checked on your children?
