No one wants to think about the things that can go wrong, but having the right insurance in place is critical when it comes to protecting your assets, your business and yourself.
If you’re about to start a business, before you open up shop and start selling your products or service, stop to consider what Liability insurance you need to make sure you and any staff you have are fully protected if something goes wrong.
Simplifying Liability Insurance with Infographics
Liability can be complicated so over the coming months, we’re introducing a series of Liability Infographics to help simplify the different types of liability insurance.
What does General Liability Cover?
General Liability insurance will cover you for anything that happens to a third party. For example if you damage a clients' property or an injury occurs because of your product or something you or one of your employees did, this is the insurance you need. Your General Liability insurance will cover the costs associated with putting the damage or injury right, your legal expenses and the cost of seeking expert advice.
It’s important to remember though that every business is different, with its own unique set of circumstances and needs. The best way to make sure you’re adequately protected for all eventualities is to work with a broker – a good broker will understand your business and give you advice that suits your needs.
