Clients’ Positive Response to App

Clients are responding positively to Rothbury's mobile insurance app and it's even assisting the company gain new business.

Over the last 3 months the mobile insurance app, My Rothbury, has gained 2,000 client users.

Rothbury managing director Roger Abel said the app, named My Rothbury, is a ground breaking development for the business. “It gives clients their key insurance information in the palm of their hand, it’s easy to install, set up, navigate and use.”

Clients have been quick to provide feedback and are appreciative of having access to their own information online.

Sums insured, excesses and open claims information are available and policies are structured in a simple view and in plain English.

The app has even led to some new business.  For one client in Christchurch, he was so taken by having information in the palm of his hand that he moved other insurances to Rothbury in order to see everything in one place.

Mr Abel said research shows over 85% of business managers and executives use smartphones and 80% of the time spent connected on mobile devices is spent on apps.  

"We aim to provide excellent personal service to our clients. Innovative, modern businesses should be geared up to provide mobile apps that deliver useful information to their clients.

We embarked on this project to meet clients’ growing expectations that they can easily communicate directly with their broker and access their own insurance key information."

The My Rothbury app is available on both iOS and Android smartphones.
