Janine started her insurance career in South Africa in 1996 and returned to the industry in New Zealand in 2019, before joining Rothbury in 2026. Experienced across both Commercial and Domestic insurance, Janine brings strong time management, attention to detail, and a team-focused approach to her role. She values integrity, honesty, and empathy, and prides herself on being an active listener. Janine holds an ANZIIF Level 5 qualification in General Insurance and a Diploma in HR Management, and is looking forward to the new challenges, products, and team at Rothbury.

Outside of work, Janine enjoys spending quality time with her children, reading, horse riding and being by the ocean. She loves water sports, particularly paddle boarding and jet skiing, and has a strong passion for netball, coaching and playing. Janine appreciates Ashburton’s central South Island location and the opportunities it provides to explore the region. Her varied background also includes an Early Childhood Teaching qualification and two years in the Army, experiences that have further shaped her adaptable, people-focused and team-oriented approach.
