Shae began her career in the insurance industry in 2018 and joined Rothbury in 2025. Over the years, she has built strong relationships with clients by providing clear, reliable, and personalised service. Shae prides herself on her ability to show empathy and understanding, while confidently navigating challenges to ensure clients receive the best possible outcomes. She has extensive experience working with a wide range of clients, helping them explore and understand risk exposure and coverage options with confidence. Shae’s expertise spans insurance products, risk assessment, negotiation, and claims assistance, and she holds ANZIIF New Zealand Compliance for Advisers (General Insurance Brokering) along with regular CPD training.

Shae is excited to take on new challenges in her role at Rothbury, expand her product knowledge, and build strong connections with clients and colleagues. She looks forward to contributing to a team that values quality service, clear communication, and tailored solutions.

Outside of work, Shae enjoys spending quality time with her family. Her young boys keep her busy with motorbikes and sports, while her eldest daughter has recently headed to Otago for university — a proud family milestone. Shae loves the relaxed lifestyle in Invercargill, with its friendly community, easy traffic, and beautiful beaches and bush walks just a short drive away. She’s also involved in her boys’ local rugby club and school sports.

Fun fact: Shae was a competitive swimmer who qualified for the New Zealand Swimming National Division 2 in 2004. She grew up on a farm, worked in the sheep-shearing industry in Australia, and has a knack for tackling challenges — whether on horseback or mountain biking down the Borland Saddle!
