Rodney Knight has joined Rothbury Insurance Brokers in a newly created role as General Manager – Risk and Compliance.

Rodney Knight has joined Rothbury Insurance Brokers in a newly created role as General Manager – Risk and Compliance.

Knight will manage Rothbury’s compliance obligations and help the business establish systems and processes that align with the industry’s changing obligations.

“The Financial Services landscape is on the move and there are many changes taking place with Entity Licensing, a new Code of Professional Conduct for Financial Advice Services and revised Disclosure Regulations”, says Managing Director Roger Abel.

“Rodney is tremendously knowledgeable in the compliance and risk space and has a deep understanding across the banking and insurance sector. He will be working closely with our Executive Leadership Team as we turn our focus towards making sure we establish systems and processes that align to our changing obligations while maintaining our current high level of client service.”

The appointment is one of three key placements over the last year. Bruce Mawson joined Rothbury as Leader – Business Development & Sales heading up the company’s Wellington branch late last year. Martin Fallaize also took up the helm as Auckland’s Assistant Branch Manager earlier this year.
