Matthew Henry started his insurance career and joined Rothbury in 2026. Specialising in Domestic Insurance, he enjoys working with people, solving problems and continuing to build his knowledge of the industry. Matthew holds the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) – General Insurance.

Before moving into insurance, Matthew spent more than 11 years working as a carpenter, specialising in renovations. He holds the New Zealand Certificate in Carpentry (Level 4), giving him practical knowledge and a strong understanding of New Zealand homes and construction. This experience complements his role in domestic insurance and helps him understand the properties his clients are looking to protect.

Outside of work, Matthew enjoys walking his two dogs Bundy & Louis, playing tennis and golf. He is a member of his local tennis club and loves living in Hawke’s Bay, particularly for its great weather and great people.
